How do you as an individual assert yourself from the crowd?

I can see these days that everyone is following the likes of Lupita Nyong'o and Nandi Mngoma with their very interesting 90's throwback haircuts.

We speak of how we are individualists when it comes to style and fashion, yet we are still followers, always waiting for someone brave to pull something and then all of a sudden we are also pulling the same style.

Are we a generation that is pulled by the nose easily, by celebrities even?

Or are we ones who explore and experiment because we are brave, oh and don't get me wrong, I'm only referring to style here, nothing else.

Teenagers all around the world have gone crazy trying to imitate the coolest celebrities, people like Miley Cyrus who have created a world-wide move of traditional(what we are used to) dressing to a new age of rebellious and revealing outfits. 

Who are we? 

Do we find comfort only when we feel like we look good because we look like some famous person and forget about the we that we really are?

Where did the I am go?

What is style? We are all individuals, why should we conform to "style" standards?

In my own words, I believe that style is a character of one. It defines a lot about a person. Style is not conventional and it doesn't obey rules. It is you and how comfortable you are to be truly you.

Some are bold, some neutral, some full of patterns, some grey, and some are like me, mix everything and get what works for. Style goes beyond conforming to what the "gurus" say about dressing up, I don't mean you should be all sloggy though, but I'm saying that when your BODY agrees (very important), and you are happy, then why not? It's your element, your avenue, your world, RULE IT!

STYLE IT UP, be FREE and most importantly, be YOU!

Yes what can I say about this picture? The  elaborate,calm, execution of and understanding of how to dress simple but elegant, as can be seen.
This outfits does everything for, reveals her body shape, accentuates her waist and the jean defines her curves. And this is done beautifully so such that nothing is out there, everything is beautifully covered. The patterns are in total agreement, and Oh My, just complete and done! Salute sister
